By using this site you agree to these terms. They apply to every page of it, and they are written to be read.
What the guides are
The guides summarize what owners report in public discussions and in buyer reviews, together with the specifications we recorded. They are information, provided as is, and not professional advice.
We do not test products ourselves, and nothing on the site claims we did.
Independence
No brand or retailer pays for a place on a list or for what a page says, and the site carries no advertising. We earn no commission on any link. In some guides the editor picks the first product, and the page says so; the other picks in such a guide were chosen by the stated rule. Who pays for the site is set out on the About page.
Prices and availability
The site shows no prices. A link to a retailer is there so you can check what a pick costs today, on the retailer’s own page.
Products change: a model is renamed, revised or discontinued, and a specification we recorded may no longer match what is sold. Check the retailer’s page before you buy.
Owners’ words
Owner quotes remain the property of the people who wrote them and are reproduced as written. A quote that is not word for word, such as a buyer review that reached us machine-translated, is marked “(paraphrased)” wherever it appears.
We keep an archive of the source of every quote, and we honor removal and correction requests: see the contact page.
Our own content
The site’s own text, rankings and design are ours. You are welcome to quote a short passage with a link back to the page it came from; please do not copy a guide as a whole.
Trademarks
Product and brand names belong to their owners. Naming a product, or ranking it, does not mean its maker endorses this site, or that this site is connected with it.
Using the site fairly
Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, overload it with automated requests, or reach any part of it that is not linked from its pages.
Links to other sites
We are not responsible for the content, availability or prices of the sites we link to, retailers included.
Liability
We are not responsible for purchase decisions made on the basis of this content. A guide is one input to a decision that stays yours.
Changes to these terms
When these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them, and the new text applies from that day.
