Categories

Every category below is a hub: one page that gathers the buying guides for one kind of product, with one guide for each type of product it covers. Each guide ranks a short list of picks from what owners report once they own them, in public forums and owner communities and in the reviews buyers leave on a product's own listing. Each guide is written from those reports and the products' own pages, and every quote it prints is checked against an archived copy of the page it came from; a quote that cannot be traced back stays off the page. In a guide built from discussions, the pick owners keep recommending comes first. In a guide built from listings, the editor sets the order and says so on the page. No brand or retailer pays for a place in a guide. Open a category to see its guides.
